Bath resident Alision Goldfrapp is the lead singer of the band Goldfrapp, a 'Mercury Music Prize' nominated English electronica duo formed in 1999. The band, which consists of both Alison and multi-instrumentalist Will Gregory, has had great success. They have worked with major artists such as The Flaming Lips, Marylyn Manson and Orbital and their music has appeared on major television commercials. Alison Goldfrapp's success is not confined to the UK. The duo achieved a top forty status in Germany and has managed to make waves in the United States with Time Out New York calling the album "one of the most accomplished albums we've ever heard" and Rolling Stone simply stating "awesome".
