In March 2006, 'Matt Perry's Benefit Year' was launched, which is no more than the Bath-born full-back deserves. Matt is still only 29 years old, but has been at the club since the amateur days and is the club's longest-serving player. In that time he has amassed well over 500 points and has made 199 starts for the First XV so far. Still England's most-capped full-back (with 36 caps), Matt is ever hungry for success with his club, for whom he played at mini level, and never fails to give his all, whether playing for United or the first team. His good nature and gentlemanly manner merit a mention as much as his playing prowess.
